Best Paper Award Winners

ICCC’21 has awarded the following Best Paper Awards:
 
Best long paper (student-led), Erin J.K. Truesdell, Jason Brent Smith, Sarah Mathew, Gloria Ashiya Katuka, Amanda Griffith, Tom McKlin, Brian Magerko, Jason Freeman and Kristy Elizabeth Boyer, Supporting Computational Music Remixing with a Co-Creative Learning Companion.


Best long paper (non-student), Tony Veale, Walking the Line in Computational Creativity: Paradox and Pitfall in the Mitigation of Automated Offense.


Best short paper, Filippo Carnovalini, Nicholas Harley, Steven T. Homer, Antonio Rodà and Geraint A. Wiggins, Meta-Evaluating Quantitative Internal Evaluation: a Practical Approach for Developers.

Rankings were determined on the basis of aggregate weighted reviewer scores (as weighted by the reviewers’ own assessments of their expertise).

For all three categories, exact or very close ties were settled by referring the tied candidates to a panel of three senior CC researchers who made the final determination.
