The International Conference on Computational Creativity’26 will take place in Coimbra, Portugal from June 29rd to July 3rd, 2026. This will be the 17th edition of the only scientific conference entirely dedicated to AI and Computational Creativity.

Coimbra is a historic city in central Portugal, located along the banks of the Mondego River. Once the nation’s capital during the early Middle Ages, it remains one of Portugal’s most culturally and intellectually influential cities. Coimbra is best known for the University of Coimbra — one of the oldest universities in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site — which continues to shape the city’s vibrant academic atmosphere. The university’s baroque library, Biblioteca Joanina, and its hilltop campus overlooking the city are among Portugal’s most iconic landmarks.
