ICCC

International Conference on Computational Creativity

Since 2010, the Association for Computational Creativity (ACC) has organized the International Conference on Computational Creativity (ICCC) — the only scientific conference entirely dedicated to AI and Computational Creativity.

The ICCC series began with its first conference in Lisbon, Portugal, marking the start of a global dialogue on computational creativity. Since then, the conference has travelled across continents, fostering a truly international community. This year, ICCC returns to Portugal — to the historic city of Coimbra!

The ICCC is a vibrant interdisciplinary platform bringing together researchers, practitioners, and artists from diverse fields — including AI, machine learning, design, games, literature, science, and engineering — to share insights on the nature and mechanisms of creative behavior in computational systems.

Declaration of Policies

The Association for Computational Creativity (ACC) strives to maintain the highest standards in the management of the annual ICCC conference. This aim is reflected in the association’s criteria for appointing conference chairs (both general chairs and programme chairs) and in the actions it takes to increase the diversity of its community and the opportunities afforded to its members. The programme chair is specifically tasked with maintaining the quality, fairness and transparency of the reviewing process, which is conducted in a double-blind manner to ensure equality of treatment for all. The association’s policies are designed to foster talent within the community, by providing opportunities for enthusiastic members to shoulder greater responsibilities within the organization. These opportunities are specifically designed to foster greater diversity (of age, culture, background, and gender) within the community and broader connections with other communities. It is the stated policy of the ACC to embrace diversity in its choice of chairs and of keynote speakers, and to address the historical gender imbalance in the community (and in Computer Science overall) through the careful selection of balanced panels and guest speakers. In addition, local chairs are reminded to introduce each new iteration of the conference with a statement of values to emphasize the ACC’s commitment to respect, tolerance, diversity and academic freedom. An explicit commitement to ACC’s Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement is also requested to the local chairs.

Declaration of Values

The International Conference on Computational Creativity (ICCC) is an open, international, academic conference. Thus, the conference is open to all delegates regardless of any demographic, religious or sexual preference consideration and we welcome ICCC participants from all over the world. We strongly encourage scholarly discussions among the attendees. The conference will not accept any inappropriate behavior, like discrimination or harassment, in any form for any reason against anyone. If you see any cases of inappropriate behavior, please report to the chair of the Association for Computational Creativity, or the ICCC conference chairs, or any member of the ICCC steering committee.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

ICCC26 is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Therefore, the organizing team follows and enforces the duties, rights and procedures stated in ACC’s publication ethics and malpractice statement. This applies to all individuals involved in the publication process for ICCC proceedings, namely authors, editors, reviewers, and chairs.
