Catie Cuan is a dancer, choreographer, and roboticist. She is currently a PhD Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering department at Stanford University, where she recently completed a Master\u2019s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. She received the Stanford Mechanical Engineering Departmental Fellowship and the National Institute of Health Biotechnology Training Fellowship.<\/p>

Her research and artistic work focuses on robotics, haptics, learning from demonstration, dance, and human-robot interaction. Catie has held artistic residencies at ThoughtWorks Arts, TED, and the RAD Lab; and directed her own dance company, Catie Cuan Dance, for six years in New York City.
