Visitor information

Slovenia lies in the heart of Europe, where the Alps meet the Mediterranean and the Pannonian Plain meets the Karst. This small  country measures 20,273 km2 in area, and is home to 2 million inhabitants. Slovenia is a land of greenery, which offers great opportunities for activity holidays, and it is perfect for a summer holiday, a winter break or a weekend away. Ljubljana is a city by the river. Besides having everything that all the other modern capitals have, Ljubljana has succeeded in maintaining the relaxed atmosphere of a small city. Visa requirements: A national of another EEA Member State (EEA citizens are nationals of EU Member States, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) or Switzerland may enter the Republic of Slovenia with a valid personal identity card or passport and does not require an entry permit (visa) or residence permit, regardless of the purpose of entering and residing in the Republic of Slovenia. Nationals of other countries who wish to enter and reside in the Republic of Slovenia for a tourist, business, personal or other type of visit may need to obtain a visa at a diplomatic mission or consular post of the Republic of Slovenia prior to entering the country (Note that for short visits, many countries, including Canada, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and the United States, do not appear to require a visa). For official visa information, see the following website. We can ONLY issue letters of guarantee when a delegate is duly registered to ICCC 2014, i.e. a registration form has been made, and the related registration fees have been fully paid and received by our accounting office. If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to Conference office before registering.

Other useful information

In the past several years the weather conditions in June were excellent with the average temperatures from 22-25 °C.

The official currency is the Euro. Non-cash payment with credit or debit cards is possible everywhere through POS terminals. Cards accepted for payment are MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, Amex.

Slovenia has special reciprocal conventions concerning health insurance with many countries. It has European standard medical facilities in all cities.
